Hey all! This is sort of a update for my Cream Puffs, I tried this out for my desert today. I must say it was a big hit. This is a cream filling, I am sure you will find many uses for, but it is fantastic in the cream puffs! Please give it a try!!!! It is very thick and you will need to double the recipe to have enough to fill all your pastries if you are gonna use it with the cream puffs recipe. Best of all it wont spoil! No need to refrigerate!
Here is what you need:
2 Teaspoons of very hot water
1/4 teaspoon salt (rounded)
2 Cups Marshmallow cream or 1 – 7oz Jar
1/2 Cup Shortening
1/3 Cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Combine the salt with the hot water in a small bowl and stir until dissolved. Let this cool.
Combine all other ingredients in medium bowl with electric mixer on high speed until fluffy.
Add the salt mixture to filling and mix well.
This makes about 1 1/2 cups.
